We are a family of three my husband Pat, our son Alex and myself, Isabelle. We moved to Alberta 4 years ago with a dream of owning a ranch and have some horses which we did. At the time we didn't really know what would be the mission of our farm, but after buying a few horses in bad shape we realized that we couldn't leave animals like that. Therefore we are dedicating our time and effort to help animals, especially horses, so they can have a decent and respectfull home that they deserve. We also try to educate people to understand all the responsibility involved with horses.
In the link "ready for adoption" you will see horses and other animal available. You will need to fill out a little form to make sure you qualify to own the animal of your choice. The prices for the horses will vary depending on how much we pay for him/her and the money we spend for his/her recovery etc. Average cost per year for one horse is around $1000 (7 months hay/5 months pasture, trims and dewormers) + $1000 (vacinations, dentist work, vitamines/supplements) for a total of $2000, and that can be easily exceeded depending on his/her health situation, please keep that in mind before adopting a horse.
