We have some horses that are ready to go to approved knowledgeable home. The prices for the horses will vary depending on how much we pay for him/her and the money we spend for his/her recovery etc, some horses will be cheaper than what we pay due to the market price. LOOK our before/after pictures to see how a horse can change with proper care.

New owner will have to sign adoption form for all the horse we have up for adoption, but will first need to be approved by our rescue (application form).

Equine Adoption Application
(need to be fill if you want to be approved, you can fill the sheet online by clicking)

Keep in mind that we are not charging for our time & not doing any money with the rescue center. We take a lot from our own pocket each year and give lot of our time to achive our goal, so please by respect don't ask us to give you a deal or have 2 horses for $100...We always keep our price low and decent. Thanks for your understanding.

Cost of owning a horse

Average cost per year for one horse is around $1000 (7 months hay/5 months pasture, trims and dewormers) + $1000 (vaccinations, dentist work, vitamins/supplements) for a total of $2000, and that can be easily exceeded depending on his/her health situation. *Please keep that in mind before buying a horse, ask yourself if you can afford this expense each year*

K Donna

K donna is a 19 year old Arab mare. Gentle and calm, and don't mind to have us around baby. She went in the trailer like a champion and didn't even stop...just went in and baby follow her a few seconds after. Can tell that she had some good training done. She is supposed to be well broke, which we will discover with time. Baby, which is a filly named Ace is a month old. Nice little girl. She is active and like to go and check thing around. Her front legs are not straight yet, but might come good with some time, as she is still really young. She had a abscess on her neck, which the vet we open, clean and stiches. She did really good. July 19th2011 Remove the stiches from Ace neck today, was a bit swelling, but she should be ok :-) Gave her some antibio just in case. July 30th 2011 They are both doing good, Ace is a nice dark buckskin color now & mom have a good energy level for a older one :-) They should be ready to go in about a month, or maybe 2 & we might sent K-donna for a refresh training, as she is suposed to be well broke, unless we let her go sooner with baby. Not sure yet but they will be ready before November for sure August 24th 2011 Ace is really gentle and friendly, she like to be around and same for mom. Mom had a trim a couple day ago and was just awesome. Well behave girl! September 08th 2011 Both are just really gentle and sweet. Ace like to be around & always want a scratch. Mom is more than good, she don't care at all about our son runing around with tonka truck & having lot of activity around, same for baby :-). September
Baby is leaving soon, after mom will be up for adoption. She is well broke and well behave. She was rode a bit hard and we think at a point she maybe compete. She really know her stuff, even bareback with just a halter. She will be up for adoption as a light riding mare as she is 19 years and we don't want someone push her to the limit or compete with her. Previous owner mention a old injury to one back leg, but we didn't had any issue yet or seen anything..Also had our vet that seen her and couldn't found anything. November. Ace (baby) left today & K-donna will be up for adoption soon. We just want to ride her a bit more to learn more about her and she had a small cold a couple week ago and is getting out of it now, she have a few scratches *white leg* that we are treating and we would like her to gain a other 50 pounds, after that she will be ready. Bring her alone in the barn today, went in the stall, tie her and clean her legs & put some wrap. She act like a mare who was really used to all that before. Just perfect. Never panic or move. Really easy to work with her. November 18th 2011

PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HER.
Will be up for adoption as light riding or pony kids around and/or companion *she is 19 years old and deserve a quiet friendly place as we can tell she was rode ``hard`` before*, to someone with experience or inter rider as this mare is well broke and was probably competing before and know her stuff, or to pony kids around etc.
Adoption fee : $300. thanks

Fantasy

7 years old Standardbred mare. Had some experience at the track and some in the saddle, so broke to ride and drive. We will put more info later about her ability with the saddle as she was in training for +- 4 months (saddle) and was raced at the track before (sulky). October 29th 2011 Nothing really new with fantasy, Nice girl to handle, like to be pet, kind of in the middle of the herd *not to bossy and not to dominant*. Was easy to trim and have good manner. Nobody ride her yet as our trainers can't ride (one is full book and to other broke her ankle). Fantasy was at the track for some time and after at a trainer to be saddle train, she had 3 months under saddle, but we don,t really have any comment on how thing went. We will try to have someone over soon to try her out & she should be up for adoption soon, or might go to the right place if we found what we are looking for. Let us know if you are interested in her. thanks. Janurary 19th 2012
Fantasy had her first ride here (went in training before, when she was with previous owner, but we didn't really know how she was) : Was kind of anxy/impatient (anxiety), not about the saddle or tack or rider, but just to be there (round) pen and have to stand there and stop. look like she was probably used to always move before. She was not hyper at all, just *anxy*. was the same when she was tie after (not saddle, just tie), want to move all the time, no pull back, but she move her legs and her lip. Will just need time to learn that she can wait and be patient about stuff. Was at the trainer (previous onwe) for +-4 months, but by the way she is acting look like they ride her less than that...look more like a 30 days+-. This mare have some good potential and don't look hyper. February 03th 2012
Fantasy got rode to, trainer was impress and she was not to anxious. can see some amelioration. February 7th 2012

She is up for adoption to someone who have enough experience to ride a *green* horse. Read comment on top about her training. Adoption is $500 and will be adjust if trainer put more miles/rides on her. Thanks

Jones

3 years old gelding, was at the track (sulky racing). Retired in October 2011. Nothing wrong with him, was not enough fast. We will put more info later. thanks, november 06th 2011 Jones is kind of fine built compare to the rest of the herd, not skinny, just refine...kind of like a arab shape (approx 15hh. 800 pounds), but he is also only 3 years old. He is a curious guy that always come to look if you have treat in your pocket, can be a bit pushy with that, but he just have to learn to respect space, still young and that will part of a learning process. He is easy to handle. Not dominant with the rest of the herd. For the moment he is only with mare...no gelding around. He have a blanket on him and will need to stay blanket for the winter as he arrived fresh from the track in November and didn't had any hair on him. Let us know if interested in him. thanks. January 19th 2011 Went for a trailer ride and at the arena with him. load and unload like a charm, good in stall, don,t mind other horses around. Was a bit anxious in the ring, but saddledown after a few minutes. Not so sure when he see new peoples around him and was thinking the saddle was going to eat him, but was all good after 2 minutes once he smell it. have the tack on him and he was good. Will bring him again tomorrow and do a bit of ground work. February 15th 2012
Went again today (arena) and he was better in the ring. not afraid of the saddle and pad on him, but was spooky when it was sitting on the chair beside him. He is pretty good with the stuff he know but will need to be desensitise with the new thing he is not used to. Can be spooky but nothing that time can't fix :-) February 16th 2012

Ready for adoption for someone that have the knowledge or experience to finish is training. Can be anxious sometime and in your space, but nothing time can't fixt :-) he have a brain and can use it :-)
Adoption fee : $400
